Indexing of Journal
Worldwide Academia International Research Journal (WAIRJ)
Indexing and repositories play distinct yet complementary roles in enhancing the academic value and visibility of a journal. Indexing refers to the inclusion of a journal in recognized abstracting and bibliographic databases that evaluate journals based on quality parameters such as editorial standards, publication ethics, regularity, and impact. Being indexed in reputable indexing agencies increases the academic credibility, citation impact, and research value of the journal, making it more trusted by authors, researchers, and institutions.
A repository, on the other hand, functions as a digital archive or storage platform where published papers are deposited, preserved, and made accessible to a wider audience. Repositories improve the discoverability and global reach of research by providing free access, facilitating downloads, and increasing citation potential.
Current Status
Worldwide Academia International Research Journal (WAIRJ) is a newly established journal, with its inaugural issue (Volume 1, Issue 1) scheduled for publication in September 2026. As a new publication, WAIRJ is not yet indexed in major bibliographic databases such as PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, Index Copernicus, or NAAS, as these listings require a track record of regular, high-quality publication over time before evaluation and inclusion.
Our Indexing Roadmap
As WAIRJ builds a consistent publication history, we are committed to actively pursuing indexing and inclusion in recognized academic databases and repositories, including but not limited to:
- Google Scholar
- CrossRef (for DOI registration)
- ResearchGate
- Other reputable open-access indexing directories, as eligibility criteria are met
We believe in full transparency with our authors regarding our current indexing status and will update this page as WAIRJ achieves recognition from indexing bodies.
A Note to Authors
Authors who require publication in an indexed journal for specific academic, institutional, or funding requirements are advised to verify current indexing status directly with the respective databases before submission.
